Classical ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary. Ages three to adult, in classes small enough that the teacher knows every name.
Terms follow the South Australian school calendar. Class sizes are capped, so mid-term places depend on what has opened up.
| Class | Ages | When |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-primary movement | 3–5 | Saturday morning |
| Classical ballet, graded | 6–16 | Monday and Wednesday afternoons |
| Jazz | 7–17 | Tuesday afternoon |
| Tap | 7–17 | Thursday afternoon |
| Contemporary | 12+ | Wednesday evening |
| Adult open ballet | Adult, all levels | Tuesday evening |
| Private coaching | By arrangement | Exam and audition preparation |
Students move up when the work is secure, not when the calendar says so. A child kept an extra term at a level almost always finishes ahead of one pushed through it, and we would rather have that conversation with a parent early than at an examination.
Examinations are offered but never required. Plenty of our students dance for years without sitting one, and that is a perfectly good way to do it.
Ballet is corrected individually or it is not corrected at all. Our classes are capped so every student is seen and adjusted in a lesson rather than watched from the back of a crowd.
It means we sometimes have a waiting list for a level, and it is the part of the school we are least willing to change.
Come and watch a class before you enrol anyone. We will not sign a child up on a phone call — a studio either suits a family or it does not, and half an hour in the room settles it better than any conversation we could have.
Uniform is simple and deliberately inexpensive at the junior levels. There is no costume obligation attached to enrolment, and the end-of-year concert is optional.
If your child has danced elsewhere, bring their most recent report or grade. It saves them being placed by age alone, which is how students end up bored or overwhelmed in their first term.
Term dates, fees and the current waiting lists are sent out on request. Say the age, any previous experience, and which day suits — that is enough to tell you what is open.
